White paper on election rigging will be released on Aug 21: Imran Khan
Report will include video evidence of the exact methods of rigging employed.
LAKKI MARWAT:
Soon after landing in Karachi on Saturday, Imran Khan announced that his party will release a white paper on August 21, presenting clear and detailed reports on the nature and extent of rigging in the May 11 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, the PTI chief said that the report, which includes video evidence, will detail the specific methods used and authorities involved in rigging the polls.
"The evidence will be out there for everyone to see," said Khan.
In response to a question, Khan said that PTI members were not terrorists and were in fact, on the receiving end of terrorist threats at the time of the elections.
He said it was imperative for the Supreme Court to involve itself in order to ensure transparent elections.
'No need for Jewish agent when Maulana is there.'
Earlier, while speaking to PTI supporters at a rally in Lakki Marwat, Khan responded to Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s comment on Imran Khan being a Jewish agent with the rebuke that there was no need for a Jewish agent in Rehman's presence.
“When he is there, there is no need for a Jewish agent”.
PTI Chief Imran Khan has stated that major differences between Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the rest of the provinces would be seen in one month. He was speaking at a rally in Lakki Marwat on Saturday.
"We need a month and then I promise a major difference will be evident in K-P and the rest of the provinces," he said.
Speaking to PTI supporters at the rally, Imran Khan asked them to be ready for the 'match' to be held during the August 22 by-elections.
"I want you all to prepare for the match on August 22."
Recalling the days of his captaincy during his time as a player for the Pakistan cricket team, he said that at that time winning in India was difficult for Pakistanis because of biased Indian empires and vice versa, but one captain, along with a team of youngsters, had gone to India and managed to win the game.
“And now that time is not far away, when PTI will win the match (by-elections) in Pakistan. We will repeat what we did in India that day,” he said confidently.
Imran requested his supporters to “reach the polling stations at 7am on August 22. We will see a new era of Lakki Marwat on August 22 evening”.
He said that Colonel (retd) Amirullah, who has been given the party’s ticket for the by-elections, was an honest man.
“It won’t take long for the people to see that the decision taken by KP people to bring PTI in power was the right one,” he continued.
He promised to bring a set of new laws that would benefit the people, and a local government system that would give the power to the people to resolve the issues of their region. He also promised to establish new schools, colleges, hospitals and sport stadiums in every district.
