Rehman Malik meets with Altaf Hussain
MQM chief congratulates President for completing five years in office.
LONDON:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Rehman Malik met with Muttahida Qami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in London on Friday.
A statement released from MQM early on Saturday read that the two leaders discussed matters pertaining to politics and security at large in Sindh, and Pakistan overall.
During the meeting, which lasted for over 150 minutes, both leaders agreed that the parties they represent have worked together in the past to resolve issues and should continue such cooperation in the future.
Altaf also congratulated President Zardari on completing five years in office. He also praised Malik for his services in countering terrorism.
The meeting follows a day after Malik met with members of the MQM's Rabita Committee in London on Thursday.
