By-Polls: Ballot papers dispatched by ECP
ECP has started dispatching election material to its provincial chapters for the August 22 by-polls
ISLAMABAD:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started dispatching election material including around 10 million ballot papers to its provincial chapters for the August 22 by-polls. Contesting candidates would have to cease their election campaign on midnight of August 20 and 21. Polling will be held from 8am to 5pm in all the 42 constituencies -16 national and 26 provincial assembly seats. For the first time in history, Pakistan Army will not only be in charge of security inside and outside the polling stations but army officials in charge will enjoy the powers of magisterial first class during the by-polls.
