SUKKUR:

A newly-wed bride and a minor girl were killed, while two others were injured in a road accident near the rural health center Garhi Mori situated in Piryalo police limits, district Khairpur, on Sunday evening.

Nadeem Khaskheli, along with his mother, Waziran Khatoon, seven-year-old sister Hajira, one-year-old brother, Saeed and cousin, Mukhtiar Khatoon, were on their way to village Waryam Mahar near Garhi Mori on a motorcycle when the incident ocurred. When they reached near the rural health centre, a tractor trolley, loaded with dates, ran over the motorcycle. As a result of the collision, Mukhtiar Khatoon and Hajira were killed on the spot while Waziran Khatoon and Nadeem sustained serious injuries.

The tractor trolley driver managed to escape from the scene leaving the tractor trolley behind. Residents rushed the injured to the Garhi Mori hospital while the Piryalo police shifted the bodies to the hospital. Due to the absence of a female doctor, the bodies were, however, handed over to the family without a postmortem. Mukhtiar Khatoon was married to Asif Khaskheli three months ago and had gone to celebrate Eid with her parents in Naudero. Piryalo police has impounded the tractor trolley but they have yet to register the case.
