KARACHI:

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has completed a key infrastructure project at Zero Point on the Hub Canal, restoring regular water supply to District West and Keamari through the Hub Pumping Station.

According to a KWSC spokesperson, an intake chamber has been constructed at Zero Point to effectively link upstream and downstream flows. With the completion of this critical development, both canal systems at Zero Point have now been connected to the Hub Dam, making the water transmission network more stable and reliable.

Officials said the project is expected to significantly improve water availability, particularly in District West and Keamari, while also reducing technical disruptions that previously affected supply.

The water corporation reiterated its commitment to ensuring consistent and uninterrupted water provision to Kara-chi's residents, adding that further reform and development initiatives will continue in the future.
