The Faisalabad police have issued an Eid security plan for the district which has been declared ‘sensitive’.


Faisalabad police spokesman Aamir Waheed said on Wednesday, “Eid congregations will be held at 1,124 places in Faisalabad.”

He said, “As many as 780 Eid congregations will be held in mosques, 262 at open places and the remaining at private places.” The spokesman said 3,800 police personnel including 56 inspectors, 13 deputy superintendents and five superintendents would be on security duty on Eid.

He said 2,384 jawans of the Elite Force would be on duty to cope with any untoward situation.

In Bahawalpur, DPO Sohail Habib Tajik finalised the security plan for Eid. He said parking arrangements for cars at Eid gatherings would be made at least 500 metres away from congregations. He said the police would be deployed at public places.

He said 866 head constables, 237 superintendents and 26 inspectors would be deployed for Eid security.
