Relief goods: 15 trucks sent to flood-affected areas

Punjab Disaster Management Authority dispatched 15 trucks of relief goods to the flood affected areas in the province.

RAJANPUR: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority has dispatched 15 more trucks of relief goods to the flood affected areas in the province. District administrations and Irrigation officials said work on restoration of damaged link roads and to fill the breaches along the canals was ongoing. An Inter-Services Public Relations press release issued on Wednesday said that the army had conducted eight sorties and delivered 12 tonnes of food items in Rajanpur district. In Sialkot‚ flooding in the Dek inundated some 47 villages of Pasrur‚ Zafarwal‚ Qilla Ahmedabad and nearby areas. In Faridabad, a dyke broke off due to flooding in the River Ravi, inundating standing crops on thousands of acres of land.
