PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday issued contempt of court notices to IGP Ihsan Ghani, Chief Secretary Arbab Shehzad, Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs department along with other officials for not implementing the seniority list.
During the hearing of a petition filed by Mian Mustafa, a two-member bench was told by Mustafa’s counsel Advocate Aminur Rehman that the court had given directions to issue a joint seniority list, but the orders have not been implemented so far. It was noted that according to the rules of Police Ordinance, 2002, a separate seniority list cannot be issued. After hearing both arguments, the court issued contempt notices against the officials.
