Bar Vs Bench: Committee set up to file reference

The LHCBA’s office bearers have constituted a six-member committee.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association’s office bearers have constituted a six-member committee to draft a reference against members of the Supreme Court Bench-I for pronouncing the verdict regarding the change of presidential elections schedule.  The committee members are Dr Khalid Ranjha, Senator Kazim Khan, Waqar Hassan Mir, Shaukat Umar Pirzada, Saiful Malook and Mirza Nasar Ahmad. LHCBA’s general house had decided at a meeting on July 30, to move a reference against members of the bench including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, to the Supreme Judicial Council for ordering the change in election schedule.
