Two people were injured on Monday when a property dealer set his dogs on them.
Police said Abdul Waheed, 50, wanted to purchase five marlas of land from Abu Bakar Usman, a property dealer. Waheed agreed to pay a Rs50,000 down payment. The rest of the money was to be paid in monthly installments over five years. Usman agreed to hand over registration papers in on receiving the advance payment.
Waheed told the police that Usman appeared to avoiding him after he made the down payment. When confronted, Usman denied knowledge of such a deal.
On Monday, Usman asked the couple to wait for him in his backyard. Police said he then asked his servants to set his four dogs on the couple. Waheed received minor wounds and managed to escape. He rushed to Saddar police station to report the incident. When the police reached Usman’s house, they found that Kausar had fainted as a result of dog bites. She was taken to Vehari DHQ hospital, where they were reported to be out of danger.
Usman and two of his employees have been arrested.
