Epidemic control: Test recommended for dengue fever
Health Department has instructed all public hospitals to carry out NS-I dengue test for possible dengue fever patients

On the recommendations of the dengue experts advisory group, headed by Professor Faisal Masood, the Health Department has issued instructions to all public hospitals to carry out NS-I dengue test for possible dengue fever patients. A spokesman for the Health Department said that the NS-I test had been carried out on a patient suspected of carrying the dengue fever virus. The test results were negative. The spokesman said that guidelines prepared by the dengue experts advisory group for the diagnosis and treatment of dengue patients had already been issued to all public hospitals in the Punjab.
