Tremors felt in parts of north Pakistan

The intensity of the quake was recorder 5.5 on the Richter scale.

Tremor jolts were felt in north parts of Pakistan early on Saturday morning, Express News reported.

The jolts were mostly felt in different parts of Punjab including Lahore, Islamabad, and Jhelum. Shocks were also felt in Abbottabad, Mirpur, and Azad Kashmir and felt as far away as Peshawar.

Following the quake, people rushed out of their homes.

Express News reported that the epicentre of the quake was near Sri Nagar in the Indian administered Kashmir. The intensity of the quake was recorded at 5.5 on the Richter scale.

On Thursday, low intensity tremors were felt in south of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and parts of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). The epicenter of yesterday's quake was also in the Indian administered Kashmir. That quake was recorded at 4.5 on the Richter scale.
