Drive against violations: Public transporters penalised

ITA and the traffic police imposed a penalty amounting to Rs35,500 for traffic violations.

ISLAMABAD: In a joint drive, the Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) and the traffic police imposed a penalty amounting to Rs35,500 for traffic violations and impounded two vehicles for overcharging from commuters. ITA Secretary Khawaja Mustafa and traffic police officials conducted raids on vehicles of various inter-city routes and imposed penalties for traffic violations.
