Pakistan railways: Minister constitutes body to probe discrepancies
The committee is directed to submit its recommendations within 30 days.
LAHORE:
Federal minister for railways has constituted a four-member committee to probe irregularities in billboard’s revenue and poor performance of the Real Estate Development and Marketing Company, and submit a report in 30 days.
Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq constituted the committee while chairing a high level meeting to review the performance and revenue income of the company on Thursday.
The committee consists of four senior officials of the ministry including chief financial adviser accounts, chief marketing manager, director general operations and director vigilance. The committee was directed to submit its recommendations within 30 days. The committee was asked to securitize all the agreements inked by company with various companies for advertisement.
The minister further directed senior members from the ministry to send proposals on how to increase the revenue from advertisement while increasing the designated places reserved for the advertisement.
