Petitioner Muhammad Sulaiman said he was pursuing two murder cases against Vikram Masih.
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from the Liaqatabad SHO for August 21 on a petition seeking a case against a prisoner for making death threats over the phone and for action against jail authorities whose negligence had allowed inmates access to mobile phones.
Petitioner Muhammad Sulaiman said he was pursuing two murder cases against Vikram Masih, who had allegedly gunned down his brother and mother. Masih is currently in jail. Sulaiman said a few days ago, Masih had called him from prison and threatened to kill him too unless he stopped pursuing the cases. He said the jail authorities’ negligence had allowed the prisoner access to a mobile phone. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against the prisoner.
