Short circuit: CG of Swaziland, wife die in house fire

Grandson injured and admitted to medical care.

KARACHI:
The counsel general of the Kingdom of Swaziland in Karachi and his wife died after a fire broke out in their Defence Housing Authority residence on Wednesday. Aftab A Kashmirwala, 75, and Haleema, 65, died on the spot, while their grandson, Umer Shakeel, 22, fell unconscious. They were taken to the National Medical Centre on Korangi Road, where doctors pronounced the counsel general and his wife dead. The grandson was admitted for medical care. Firefighters extinguished the fire later on.
