KARACHI:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) labour wing president Zubair Khan demanded the government to nationalise the Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) in a press conference at the press club on Tuesday.

The labour leader added that this decision will end the miseries of the workers of KESC as well as the citizens of Karachi. Khan further said that the KESC had not met its targets, thus the party will struggle for the betterment of labourers of the KESC.

The KESC activists of the labour union have joined the PTI’s labour wing saying that party’s wing will be registered soon. “Our issues are not being tackled and the administration’s attitude towards workers is bad,” said Aziz-ur-Rehman, the KESC employee. Khan also criticized election tribunal’s location in Jamshed Town. “The petitioners and the witnesses can’t go there due to law and order situation in the city,” he added.  “I am pursuing my case there but it is hard to manage witnesses,” he said.
