District revenue: Land record being computerised

Revenue officers had been directed to ensure 100 per cent recovery this year.

All the land record in the district is being computerised, District Coordination Officer Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah said on Tuesday. He was presiding over a meeting at his office. The DCO said that land record of 14 big villages in Shujabad tehsil had been computerised. The Revenue Department had set a recovery target of Rs1.48 billion. Revenue officers had been directed to ensure 100 per cent recovery this year. The DCO said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had issued special instructions to eliminate water theft. A number of committees had been constituted to identify water theft, he added.
