KARACHI:
A Little Easier, A Little More Beautiful is an exploratory film that documents the voices of a diverse group of workers who make everyone's lives a little easier and hence a little more beautiful in Pakistan's biggest and busiest city.

“We’ve come to Karachi because the floods destroyed our farms. We live in a room with 10 people, and it doesn’t have a fan,” say construction workers, Mazhar and Abdul Ghaffar, speaking about the troubles of the working class in the country’s biggest metropolis and economic hub.

“I came from Afghanistan during Ziaul Haq’s rule. Making Naan is the only thing I know,” says Abdullah, a baker working in the city.

Completed this year on May Day, the film highlights the challenges of workers who migrate to Karachi from other parts of the country in search of work, and those who have come to the city in search of relative safety from Afghanistan.
