Tracks blown up: Blast suspends train service to Quetta
Unidentified people planted explosives along the railway track at Musa Colony in Sariab locality.
QUETTA:
A Railway track connecting Quetta with the rest of the country was blown up in the provincial capital on Sunday. According to police, unidentified people planted explosives along the railway track at Musa Colony in Sariab locality. The explosion damaged a portion of the track, suspending train services between Balochistan and the rest of the country. However, no loss of lives was reported. Police and Frontier Corps reached the site of the blast and cordoned off the area. Police suspect involvement of Baloch militants in the blast. However, no group has so far accepted responsibility for the blast. Railway officials restored the train service after conducting repair work on the damaged track for three hours.
