Hajj quota: 'Complete paperwork by August 1'

The additional deputy attorney general informed the court that all arrangements for Hajj were complete.

LAHORE:
Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Friday ordered the Ministry of Religious Affairs to complete the paperwork for allotting Hajj quota to 19 successful bidders by August 1. The additional deputy attorney general informed the court that all arrangements for Hajj were complete. He requested the court to wait for Peshawar High Court’s verdict in a similar case. Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel said that only a few days were left in the Hajj flights to begin and the ministry should be directed to complete all documentation for allotting the quota. The chief justice was hearing an application challenging the Hajj Policy 2013 and the process of quota allocation by the ministry.
