A youth leadership conference, titled ‘Markhor 2013’, was announced on Friday by Youth Impact — a non-profit youth development organisation known for its wilderness based training sessions.
The four-day conference will be held from October 3 to 6, 2013 at the lush Mukshpuri mountain top in Nathiagali.
The pioneering youth leadership conference aims to bring a high number of young men and women together to inculcate a spirit of social leadership among them, informed Abdul Samad, the CEO of Youth Impact
Samad said that being the national animal of Pakistan, Markhor was a symbol of pride and nobility for everyone. He said the Pakistani youth, confronted with an unending wave of change, uncertainty and extreme competition needs to be prepared for the plethora of challenges awaiting them. The professional world needs agile, self-motivated, adaptable and daring youngsters like a Markhor, he added.
He said the participants, hailing from various regions, will be provided with the opportunities to test their leadership skills through wilderness challenges, community interactions and nature association activities. Notable speakers from all walks of the professional world will also deliver lectures at the conference.
