Tribal feud: PML-N leader among 3 killed in Khuzdar

At least three people, including a tribal elder and a Balochistan Levies operative, were killed in the Zehri tehsil of Khuzdar district, some 310 kilometres from Quetta on Thursday.
“The cause of the killing is said to be a tribal dispute,” the Balochistan Levies official in Khuzdar Yahya Khan told The Express Tribune.
Tribal elder and local leader of PML-N Abdul Qadir Zarakzai was injured last night in a fight with a rival group. He was on the way to Khuzdar district for treatment when assailants waylaid his vehicle in the Zehri area, killing him, a Balochistan Levies operative and a passer-by Sanaullah, Yahya Khan said.
The Balochistan Levies forces rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased and injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, he said.
Frontier Corps kill one, arrest six militants
Meanwhile, Frontier Corps killed one militant after a gun fight and arrested six members of banned organisations in different raids in Pishin, Quetta and Qila Abdullah on Thursday.
According to the FC spokesman, the paramilitary force raided a house in Kili Salahzai area of Gulistan tehsil in Qila Abdullah district where the militants were hiding. The militants started shooting and the FC returned fire, killing one miscreant.
The militant was later identified as Abdul Baqi, a member of a banned organisation. FC recovered large quantity of explosive materials from the house which was meant for terrorist activities in the province.
In a separate incident, FC arrested six members of a banned organisation from Brewery Road in Quetta. The arrested persons were wanted in various cases.
In the Pishin district that borders with Afghanistan, the alleged perpetrator of the bomb blast on Pak-Afghan border gate was arrested. The FC spokesman did not give further details about the arrest.
