KESC restores power supply to Pakistan Steel Mills

Power supply to Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) was restored on Tuesday, Express News reported.

The corporation paid its dues worth Rs650 million, Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) officials confirmed.


Power supply to the cash-strapped PSM was cut on July18 after it had failed to pay the bills despite repeated meetings and assurances.

Earlier, KESC had insisted that PSM at least makes a payment of Rs550 million which the PSM had denied saying it could only pay Rs250 million in July.
