ISLAMABAD:

In order to curb gas and electricity theft, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, in collaboration with the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) and the Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (Iesco), has set up a complaint cell.

“The complaint cell will work round the clock to curb electricity and gas theft,” Deputy Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmed told The Express Tribune. Two people were arrested for pilfering electricity from poles. Ahmed said that the administration in collaboration with Iesco will continue raids against electricity thefts. In this regard, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Jawad Paul held a meeting with SNGPL and Iesco high-ups and assured them that the Islamabad Police would help them in curbing the menace.
