Attempt foiled: IED planted to target security forces convoy, defused

Security forces defused an improvised explosives device, planted at a road side near Mir Ali Bazzar, sub-division of North Waziristan on Sunday, confirmed a security official.
The IED, planted on the Miranshah-Bannu Road was to target the security forces convoy. The bomb, however, was defused before the convoy passed. On Sunday, a routine curfew was imposed in North Waziristan where entry of the public was banned on main roads to ensure safe passage for the security forces.
