Not hamstrung: NAB ‘not dysfunctional without chief’

ISLAMABAD: A spokesman for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) stated that all the cases initiated by the previous chairman as well as the ones initiated, after his disqualification, by directors-general (DGs) of the body who have been empowered through notifications, were under process. “These include more than 600 inquiries, 250 investigations and over 600 cases under trial,” said the statement issued with regard to media discussions an impression created that the NAB was currently dysfunctional due to the absence of its chairman.
