Encounter: ‘Mastermind’ of SHC judge attack dies
The assault on the convoy had claimed lives of nine of his security members and left 18 others wounded.

Bashir Leghari, the alleged mastermind of the attack on Justice Maqbool Baqar’s convoy, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a hospital on Wednesday night. The assault on the convoy had claimed lives of nine of his security squad members and left 18 others, including Justice Baqar, wounded. Leghari was shot once in his abdomen and arrested along with his two companions after an encounter with police during a raid at their hideout in Surjani Town locality early on Wednesday morning. He was then shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
