KARACHI: Pakistan’s Ali Bokhari advanced to the third round of the World Individual Junior Squash Championship after defeating Germany’s Niklas Becher in Wroclaw, Poland.

Bokhari took just 21 minutes as he won with game scores of 11-7, 11-4 and 11-6. He will now face Colombia’s Andres de Frutos, who outplayed Jakub Solnicky in the second round 11-8, 11-9 and 11-6.

Bokhari could become the first Pakistani in 27 years to win the world title. Legendary Jansher Khan was the last Pakistan player to win the title in 1984 with Sohail Qaiser being the only other Pakistani to win the title in 1982.
