Abducted VC: Qaiser appeals to PM to ensure recovery

At the hundred-year celebration of Islamia College (IC), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar requested Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to ensure the early and safe recovery of IC Vice Chancellor Ajmal Khan. In a letter addressed to the PM, Qaiser said despite the videos released by Khan’s captors showing the vice chancellor appealing to the government for his release, no action has been taken in this regard. Khan was abducted on his way to work on September 6, 2010. In my capacity of K-P Assembly Speaker, I request Ajmal Khan’s safe recovery as it will be highly appreciated by the residents of the province in general and members of his family in particular, he added.
