Swabi medical college: Classes to commence from January 2014
Qaiser said all initial preparations for the college have been completed.
Classes at Swabi’s first medical college will begin from January next year, according to a government handout.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser made the announcement at the Assembly Secretariat during a meeting on Tuesday, where the establishment of the Gaju Khan Medical College and provision of health facilities in Swabi was discussed.
Qaiser said all initial preparations for the college have been completed, adding the project was part of the annual development fund.
He said an A-category hospital, comprising 250 beds, would also be established adjacent to the college, adding that an advisory committee will be formed for the institute.
Health Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said government machinery would be lent to construct the college.
