Investment: Govt aims to increase education budget
Vocational and technical education will also be linked with regular education, to equip the youth with skills.
ISLAMABAD:
State Minister for Education Balighur Rehman has said that the government is committed to increasing the education budget to 4% of the GDP, while simultaneously raising the standard of education as well. He said it is unlikely that the government will meet targets most its targets in the education sector, however he said government is launching a three-year National Accelerated Plan for education to minimise the loss. Talking to a private news channel, he said that an improved security situation in the country will provide a better environment to promote education, and the government is taking vigorous steps to cope with security threats. Minister said vocational and technical education will also be linked with regular education, to equip the youth with skills.
