Academic affairs: SSUET appoints new registrar
Syed Abrar Ali succeeds Shah Mehmood H Syed, who served the university for 10 years.
KARACHI:
The Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) has appointed Syed Abrar Ali as its new registrar. An official of the institute said on Thursday that the former registrar, Shah Mehmood H Syed, served the university for 10 years. He said that Abrar had served in the university as coordinator, director career planning and director sports from 2001 to 2008. He added that as an engineer, he taught at NED and NUST besides SSUET for 30 years. He further added that he has been a member of Governing Board of Pakistan Engineering Council and has served as the chairperson for the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Pakistan for four years.
