Venue, facilities to be assessed ahead of U16 qualifiers.
KARACHI:
An Asian Football Confederation (AFC) official arrived in Karachi yesterday to inspect the venue and facilities for the U16 Qualifiers scheduled to take place in September.
According to Sindh Football Association head Hasan Baloch, the AFC official arrived from Saudi Arabia yesterday to spend three days on his inspection at the People’s Stadium in Lyari.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will host their first international tournament this year. Teams from Sri Lanka, Iran and UAE, along with hosts Pakistan, will compete in the AFC U16 Qualifiers. The event will run for 10 days from September 27.
“We will try our best to provide him with all the information, while easing any concerns over security arrangements,” Baloch told The Express Tribune.
“We’ll know where we stand after the end of his visit here and we will be open to any suggestions.”
