FAISALABAD:

A man was killed ‘mysteriously’ killed after marrying a second time, Faisalabad Sadar police said.

Muhammad Yaseen, 62, who married a second time for love after he retired three months ago, has been found killed and his wives, Nasreen and Farzana are accusing each other of foul play.

On June 27, the body was found lying in some bushes near his village. He was apparently killed by a sharp-edged weapon.

SHO Syed Sabtain Shah said, “Yaseen already had a wife and four daughters who say Yaseen has been killed by his second wife Farzana in connivance with her paramour Akhtar Ali alias Bhola.”

He said the police had arrested both and sent the body for a postmortem examination.

The SHO said, “Farzana and her alleged paramour have blamed his first wife, Nasreen Akhtar, and her children for the death.”

Nasreen Akhtar alleged that her husband was ‘trapped’ and killed by his second wife who was after his money.

She said that the police were siding with Farzana and threatening her to withdraw the complained or face dire consequences.

Kaleem Khan, a neighbor, told the police that Yaseen had worked for the Education Department.

“His first wife and children were very angry when he decided to marry a second time. They had asked him several times to divorce his second wife but Yaseen did not give in,” he added.
