KARACHI:
Asian U21 Championship runner-up Mohammad Majid is eyeing another strong show as the Pakistan team left for the IBSF World U21 Snooker Championship to be held from July 11-19 in Beijing, China.

“I’m looking to do well at the World U21 Championship,” Majid told The Express Tribune.

“The expectations have increased after I did well in the Asian U21 Championship, but I’m ready to take on the challenge. I would’ve won the Asian title had I not made errors in the last stages of the match. I’ll make sure to avoid the same mistakes in China.”

The team – including Majid, Mohsin Amin, Humza Akbar and Amir Tariq – will be accompanied by the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association President Alamgir Shaikh.

A total of 87 players from 29 countries are participating in the event and they have been divided into 14 groups.
