Tandoor accident: 8-month-old dies from burns
The child was then taken to Nishtar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An eight-month-old died from burns on way to a hospital on Monday. Mumtaz, a resident of Basti Malook, said his son was crawling around while his wife made bread in a tandoor (oven) in their backyard. When she left the baby playing and went inside, it fell into the tandoor. She pulled him out and informed Rescue 1122, who took the child to the Children’s Complex. There, he said, they discovered that the hospital did not have a burn unit. The child was then taken to Nishtar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
