Monetary dispute: Landlord allegedly tortures man who demanded money
Rehmat Ali Samejo had not received the payment for the tractor he sold to Ali Mohammed Samejo.

A man was allegedly tortured by a landlord and his associates in Daharki on Sunday evening when he visited their lands to ask for the money that was owed to him.
Rehmat Ali Samejo, a resident of Hamidpur village, visited Daharki police station on Sunday to register a complaint against the landlord, Mian Saboor, and several others. In his statement before the police, he alleged that he had sold a tractor to Ali Muhammad Samejo and Ali Akbar Samejo, who had promised to make the payment for the vehicle within a month. Rehmat added that nine months had passed since the agreement but he had not received the payment yet.
Ghotki SSP Abdul Salam Shaikh told The Express Tribune that there was a monetary dispute between Rehmat Ali Samejo and the other party who allegedly owed him Rs150,000. Shaikh said that Mian Saboor had promised to make the payment within a couple of days and thus the matter has now been resolved.
