Contempt: Senior mukhtiarkars demand promotion
They have complained that despite this notification the govt posted junior officers as mukhtiarkars.
RATODERO:
Mukhtiarkars who have not been promoted despite their eligibility and seniority have called for the Sindh government to hold a departmental promotional committee meeting immediately. A senior mukhtiarkar said, on the condition of anonymity, that the revenue department issued a notification No: 22-25-2006-ESTT-III/509 on April 10, 2012. This notice should have been followed since it specified a list of 114 senior officers as of January 1, 2012. The affected mukhtiarkars have complained that despite this notification the government posted junior officers as mukhtiarkars, ignoring the standing service rules. They demanded for the implementation of Supreme Court orders and for immediate computerisation of all revenue records, and government lands and properties.
