World Hockey League: Malaysia beats Pakistan

Malaysia secured their place in the fifth-sixth position match in the World Hockey League by beating Pakistan 3-1 on Saturday.
The host team maintained a firm position over Pakistan from the start in the fifth position play-off game played between the two countries.
Pakistan was forced to play defensively after Malaysia kept on rolling a series of attacks that resulted in a 3-1 defeat for Pakistan, who will now face South Africa for the seventh position match.
Pakistan beat South Africa in the group stages, winning one and drawing two of the three group matches.
Pakistan lost to South Korea in the quarter final by 4 goals to 3.
