Asif’s Complaint: Court moved to quash robbery FIR

Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi told the police to submit its report in a week.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday sought a report from Defence B police on a petition filed by Sohaib Dogar, wgi us accused by cricketer Muhammad Asif of robbery. Dogar is seeking the quashment of the FIR registered against him. Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi told the police to submit its report in a week. Dogar says that the allegations of robbery are untrue. The police, he says, had cleared him of any wrongdoing. Asif, says Dogar, had named him as a suspect to ‘harass’ him. According to the FIR registered by Asif, Dogar and others robbed him on June 28 on Ghazi Road of his wallet (in which he had Rs92,000 and bank cards), a Rs1 million watch and his passport.
