A 10-day immunisation campaign against measles will kick off from July 8 in Hassanabdal, according to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Shahid Hafeez. During a week-long door to door campaign, children between six months to ten years will be vaccinated in Hassanabdal and surrounding areas, he informed. Hafeez claimed that more than 900 children have been vaccinated in THQ hospital and about 50 to 60 children are under treatment, including two minors, Noor Ali and Murad Ali, from Wah Cantt. A separate ward for measles patients has been established in the hospital where affected children are being giving special treatment. He said the hospital administration has all the records of measles patients. He also appealed to the parents to cooperate with the vaccinating teams to make the campaign a success.
