ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court on Thursday ordered the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to hold elections in 90 days, Express News reported.

Expressing confidence in interim PCB chairperson Najam Sethi, the court asked him to continue with his work until a head is elected.

Sethi, who appeared before the court voluntarily, vowed to fix things in the cricketing board during his time as the PCB head.

On June 23, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed Sethi as the interim chairperson after Zaka Ashraf was suspended from the post over a legal challenge to his election.

Ashraf was ordered to halt work last month amid a row over his election, which was criticised in some quarters as unfairly influenced by President Asif Ali Zardari, the board’s patron.
