KESC line trips, 30% Karachi suffers power outage
The fault will be fixed within 30 minutes, KESC claims.

A technical fault at the KESC extra high tension line in Karachi crippled 30% of the city Tuesday afternoon, Express News reported.
The city experienced power failure when 220kv Baldia Circuit tripped, resulting in the tripping of numerous grid stations and more than 80 feeders.
According to KESC spokesperson, five grid stations were affected by the technical fault.
The affected areas include Orangi Town, Haroonabad, Baldia Town 5, Mauripur, Sadar, Old City areas, Mehmoodabad, Manzoor Colony and some areas of Clifton and Defence.
