A man has been booked for allegedly attempting to kidnap his ex-wife in Waris Khan.
The victim, Shama*, lodged a complaint with the police that her ex-husband along with five accomplices turned up at her parents house and attempted to kidnap her forcibly.
She said that the alleged kidnappers fled when area residents gathered after she screamed for help.
“The woman got divorced some months ago after developing differences with her ex-husband,” said a police official.
A case has been registered against the alleged kidnappers but no arrests had been made till the filing of this report.
