Educational uplift: PTI government pledges new schools
The K-P government has decided to construct 100 new primary schools in the province.

In a bid to enhance the literacy rate and overcome the scarcity of educational institutions, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to construct 100 new primary schools in the province besides upgrading 50 primary schools provide quality education to students. Similarly, 50 middle schools would be upgraded to high schools and 50 high schools to higher secondary schools in the upcoming fiscal year, said an official of Elementary and Secondary Education on Friday. In addition, the provincial government plans to begin work on the second phase of cadet college Swat and Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed College in Swabi, besides construction of school buildings presently set up in rented lofts.
