Reformed GST will be implemented by December
FBR Chairman Sohail Ahmed has said that the implementation of the (RGST) will be complete before December.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Sohail Ahmed has said that the implementation of the reformed general sales tax (RGST) would be completed before December.
According to a document regarding the last board-in-council meeting of the FBR which was made available to The Express Tribune, the FBR chairman observed that the RGST bill would be put before parliament for enactment following consensus between the provinces and the federal government.
Thereafter, the provinces will also pass their respective legislations for implementing the RGST. However, the process is intended to be completed before December 2010 when the IMF board will meet.
