KARACHI: Claiming that actions were underfoot at both national and international levels to break his determination and frighten Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers, the party chief urged his workers to remain united.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, MQM chief Altaf Hussain asked his party workers to maintain unwavering unity among their ranks and file, adding that it was the need of the time to show patience.

Altaf claimed that leaders, workers and sympathisers of no other Pakistani political party had been meted out similar treatment. He declared that such tactics would not be able to diminish their resolve and determination.

The MQM chief said that he was well aware of the fact that there was a sense of confusion among the workers and the general public following some news reports. However, he maintained that the MQM could not be broken by injustices and oppression and have frustrated every conspiracy against the party.

Altaf asked the MQM workers to consult the coordination committee and avoid taking any decision on their own.

Azam | 10 years ago | Reply I am so happy that finally Scotland yard is getting closer to find the people responsible for his murder. If you re-call back in the days when MQM was at it's peak Dr Sahib (Late) used to write your speeches. Also even before MQM was created Dr Sahib was your best friend and very close to you. I am sure that you are happy with the progress of Scotland yard and looking forward to see the culprits who killed your beloved friend, right?. Have Patience :)

@Aysha M : Please share the evidence or proof in support of your statement because in MQM's last term in power,11,000 people died in Karachi,so who killed them and what mechanism do you use to differentiate between a common mans murder and an MQM wala's murder?
