Bomb attack in Bannu leaves 1 security officer dead

One security officer was killed, while two others sustained injuries in a terrorist attack in Bannu, Express News reported on Sunday.
According to initial details, a bomb exploded near a security forces’ vehicle in the area.
Security officers frequently come under attack in this area.
Earlier this month, a security forces official was killed and three others were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on a roadside in Jani Khel, Frontier Region (FR) Bannu.
The IED was detonated by a remote device, Jani Khel police official Malik Ihsanullah Khan told The Express Tribune. The explosion occurred at 6am.
A convoy of security forces was patrolling the area when the bomb went off near one of the vehicles and destroyed it. After the explosion, security forces launched a search operation. However, no one was arrested till the filing of this report.
