Scrabble: Khatri finishes on top after second day

Waseem Khatri regained his form at the 25th National Scrabble Championship, winning 13 games and losing five by the end of Round 18 at the Beach Luxury Hotel yesterday.


Khatri, who started the day in fourth place, ended at the top spot after defeating Tariq Pervez in the final round.


The players are due to compete in seven rounds today. The player winning the most games in 27 rounds during the three days will win the title.

“I’m playing well and the competition is tougher than ever” Khatri told The Express Tribune. “I love scrabble, it has made me who I am today and this is really important to me to win this time.”
